'Game of Thrones' Showrunners Not Moving Forward With Star Wars Movies!

Good/bad news for fans/haters of Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss because they just announced that they will no longer be working on their planned Star Wars trilogy because of their deal with Netflix.

Now we learned that they were first working on their own trilogy earlier this year, right before the series finale, that was going to be set outside the Skywalker saga, but the duo revealed to our friends at Deadline that they wouldn't have time for Star Wars because of their newly-signed deal with Netflix.

Their trilogy would have first released in theaters in 2022 and while there's no word on what will be the next series of film after The Rise of Skywalker, we can at least count on Disney+ to offer us the Star Wars content we crave with The Mandalorian and other spinoff series.
