D.C.'s Friendship Hospital for Animals posted on social media that it would be waiving its emergency exam fee, along with fees for sick visits. The hospital also said it would be offering extended payment options for all services.
The hospital is open 24 hours a day, every day and has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association for over 60 years.
Friendship Hospital for Animals put up an update that says quote:
Due to the outpouring of kindness asking how you can help support fellow pet parents faced with unexpected employment, we are now accepting donations to help cover costs beyond our waived fees and payment plans. To donate to those affected, we encourage you to do so through our Brudder Sulllivan Fund: https://bit.ly/3EFB0eC. Please designate “Federal Employee Fund” in section 3 (the name the donation should be made in) so that we can earmark the funds specifically for this cause.
