Want a tasty burger? Well Pizza Hut beat you to the thought and, hopes you think of them first! Think you can only get pizzas at Pizza Hut? Well, I'm about to shake you to your core, you better think again.
On Tuesday, Pizza Hut announced it's getting into the burger business with its brand-new cheeseburger melt, which includes a Parmesan-crusted thin crust melt folded and filled with beef, applewood-smoked bacon, onions, mozzarella, and cheddar, with the right touch of Burger Sauce on the side.
A source from Pizza Hut says, "As a brand known for exceptional pizzas, venturing into the burger business is an exciting first for us."
In an effort to get people to trade in their usual burgers for this new offering, Pizza Hut is stationing delivery drivers at certain famous burger chain drive-thrus with massive QR codes on the back of their cars, which curious diners can scan to get a free Cheeseburger Melt along with a Pepsi to wash it down with. The offer will be available in select markets where the "other guys" are headquartered — Chicago and Miami.
In addition to the new cheeseburger, the Pizza Hut Melts are available in four other varieties, including Pepperoni Lover's, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Bacon Parmesan, and Meat Lover's.
Right now, hungry guests can get the Cheeseburger Melt as part of the My Hut Box offer. For $6.99, guests can choose between Melts or two-topping Personal Pan Pizza, along with a side of fries or four boneless wings and a 20-ounce drink for good measure.
