You thought dating in 2023 was wild? Get ready for a new trend that might come to the US because parents in Japan are actually going speed-dating so that they can connect their kids with future partners!
The speed-dating events cost about $96 per session and allow parents to go through multiple dates (like any other form of speed-dating), but they're mainly talking up their kids to other parents so that their kids can meet after the event.
The even weirder thing is that many of the parents vary in age so there are parents of a twenty-year-old talking to someone who has a fifty-year-old that hasn't had any luck on dating apps.
