A job interview is just as much an interview for you to get the job as is it to see if the company is a fit for you.
HuffPost talked to Mary Abbajaym, president of leadership development consultancy Careerstone Group, about questions to ask a company during an interview to discover if they have a good or toxic work-life balance.
She said to
- As About work flexibility or remote work. "A company that really is invested [in a healthy work-life balance] is going to be able to reel off all their policies”
- Ask if employees actually use up all their vacation time. This "can provide insight about whether the team gets to take breaks"
- Ask about burnout with a question and how the company handles it.
- Ask about their personal approach to work-life balance.
Mary offers a LOT of good insight on how to figure out if the work-life balance is toxic or not HERE
