Mark and Sophie have been dating for six months and for the most part Mark thought everything was going well so he decided to surprise her by visiting her at her apartment this past weekend. At some point during his visit, Mark went to the guest bathroom and saw that someone must have forgot to flush and left a “big present” in the toilet that definitely wasn’t from Sophie. When Mark asked about it, Sophie said her maintenance man must have done that to “test the pipes,” but Mark called her front desk and learned that her property had no maintenance staff on-call.
We call Sophie pretending to send her a free couples massage and when we ask her who she wants to bring with her, Sophie asks if she needs to schedule the massage for this weekend because she is going to Texas for “fun”, but Mark thought she was going on a business trip.
