Do you NEED to have a physical alarm clock in your bedroom just in case your phone loses power or have a TON of alarms set on your phone? Turns out they might be impacting your sleep more than you think!

A new study from the University of Notre Dame just found that using an alarm clock can actually make your more tired when compared to naturally waking up.

The study found that participants who used an alarm to wake up felt more lethargic compared to those who naturally woke up because the alarm not only disrupted their sleep pattern, but led to an increased use of caffeine.

At the same time, having multiple alarms can make our bodies get used to hearing noises go off and go back to sleep, which is a nightmare-scenario for anyone trying to beat traffic on the way to work.

You can read more from the study HERE, but just know you might not need ten backup alarms to go off every morning to feel energized and prepped for the day!
