Are you FINALLY planning your wedding after waiting almost two years to do so because of the pandemic? Turns out you're not alone and you might want to get rid of a few things according to TikTok and wedding experts!

2022 is set to be one of the biggest wedding years ever, with over 2.5 MILLION weddings expected to happen this year and it looks like a ton of brides are looking at TikTok for inspiration and tips to help plan their wedding.

According to TikTok, these wedding trends will be big in 2022 and you can see the video below for even more trends to consider for your big day:

  • Groomsmen first look - Some brides are opting to do first looks with their husband’s groomsmen, but we'll let you decide if you really care about the groomsmen seeing the bride's dress.
  • Editorial photography - Instead of just staged photos, more brides are going for a more editorial/candid vibe with their wedding pictures.
  • “Flower man” - If you don't have a young person to toss flowers down the aisle, this works even better and gets a lot of laughs from guests.
  • Unique guest books - Many couples are adding more interactive activities for their guests, including a whole new kind of guest book like audio guestbooks.
  • No more garter tosses - This wedding tradition can be awkward and embarrassing and most couples hate it, so many of them are ditching it.
