Dr. Michael Breus Ph.D (also known as @thesleepdoctor on TikTok) is going viral on the social media app for revealing that while hitting the snooze button can get you 10 extra minutes of sleep, it's not quality-sleep and you might be wasting your precious morning minutes.
Apparently hitting "snooze" multiple times doesn't give your brain enough time to get into deep sleep so you start the day off more irritated and angrier than you would have had you waken up with your first alarm.
Breus says to instead set an alarm for the last possible time you want to get up or if you have enough time to only push the snooze button once. You can see his video detailing everything below, but use this as a chance to improve your sleep in 2022!
