Experts Say Traveling is Good for Your Health.

After a year and half of not being able to travel, one of the top things on a lot of people's list is TRAVEL and experts say it's good for you! There are some major benefits from traveling!

What are those benefits?

Travel can improve heart health: A study tracked 63 workers over a year and how much vacation they took. The study showed that those who took more vacation time had fewer symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome and symptoms, which can lead to heart disease, stroke and other illnesses.

Vacations can alleviate stress for a prolonged period of time: Studies show that even taking a short vacation (defined as long as a four-day weekend) led to a decrease in stress for at least five weeks following the trip.

Trips to nature can help us breathe easier: One study published in theJournal Nature explained, "A growing body of epidemiological evidence indicates that greater exposure to, or 'contact with' natural environments (such as parks, woodlands, and beaches) is associated with better health and well-being."

Getting away can boost productivity and make you a better employee: One study showed that workers who took 11 or more vacation days per year were more likely to have received a raise or a bonus in the previous three years over those who took 10 or fewer days off from work.

Seeing the world can make you more creative: Study showed that people who have spent significant time abroad (ie: living in a different country) have higher creative tendencies than those who don't. Travel exposes people to more experiences and ideas.
