In South Korea, you can get PAID to go #2. Yeah you read that right. There's a toilet at a university that is being used to convert human waste into methane gas. That gas can generate electricity or even drive a car (less than a mile, but still.)
The toilet is connected to a lab that uses the waste to produce biogas and manure. Student who use the toilet get paid in Ggool, which is a virtual currency. Each person using the toilet earns 10 Ggool a day which can be used to buy things on campus, like coffee, instant noodles, fruits and even books!
