Sometimes dating lines get blurred and you find yourself questioning, "do they actually like me or do they just to hook up?"
Elite Daily asked relationship expert and therapist, Emmalee Bierly, LMFT and dating expert, Mark Stefanishyn, how to find out if a person is really into you or if they just are looking for a hookup.
Here’s are the key points they focused on:
1.) If someone DOESN'T want to date you, you will know -- Trust your gut, look out for red flags and is someone say they don't want to date, take them seriously.
2.) If someone makes an effort take it as a "green light" -- Again, trust your gut. If someone is serious about dating you they will make time & show you they are really interested.
3.) Learn from past relationships -- Bierly recommends you “look at your past relationships and think about some of the ‘red flags’ you missed and ‘green lights’ you saw.” Also, notice if your partner has learned from past relationship and are trying to better themselves.
4.) Ask your partner what is going on -- Point blank ask them what they're looking for in a partner and what's going on in your relationship. If someone makes you feel crazy for asking, take it as a red flag and kick them to the curb.
Emmalee Bierly says to ask yourself, “Do I really want to be in a relationship with someone whose behavior I constantly have to decode?”
