Who would have thought that ordering groceries online actually makes you healthier instead of less healthy because nobody is watching what you put in your cart!?

A new study from The Behavioral Insights Team found that people who order their groceries online instead of in-person tend to have a healthier shopping cart and spend less money.

Researchers tracked the spending patterns of over 100 shoppers during the pandemic and found that online grocery shoppers not only spent about $2.50 less on unhealthy foods than they would in-person.

Oddly enough, the same study found that online shoppers spend 44% more per transaction than those who go in-store, with transaction fees being a part of this, and it's most likely because you can stock up on more items.
