Who knew that the real world would actually catch up to the technology used in Christopher Nolan's Inception because MIT has developed dream-manipulation technology!
In a new study, a team from MIT created a wearable electronic device that allowed researchers to slightly wake people up from their dreams and allow them to give a verbal cue that caused the participant to dream about said cue.
As a person falls asleep wearing the device, audio cues are played via an associated app, such as "Remember to think of a tree" and all of the participants in the study dreamed about a tree!
The prototype system is still being refined, but we're one step closer to Leonardo DiCaprio from invading our dreams!
