Millennials are known for stepping in and putting a new touch on things. Many people say we killed some traditions, but we just decided to make things work better for us.
Here’s a few things The Insider says we’re changing:
- Doorbells- No one’s ringing a doorbell when you can shoot a quick text to let bestie know you’re waiting on the doorstep.
- Snail mail- Unless it’s a wedding invite, don’t expect us to send anything in the mail. We’re just used to picking up Amazon Prime packages at our door.
- Fax machines- Fax what? If you need something,we’ll email it to you.
- Voicemail- We’re not even talking on the phone long enough to check the voicemails. If anything, we’re using a visual voicemail. That way, we can see who left a message through the app.
- GPS devices- Remember when we used to use Mapquest and print out directions and pictures? Google maps changed our lives by taking us every step of the way as we’re driving.
- Taxis- There’s no need to wave down a cab anymore. Lyft and Uber take care of that for uswith just a few clicks.
- Fabric softener- We just don’t use this anymore. It serves no real purpose for us.
- Calculators- People used to buy physically calculators, but why spend the extra money on that when we can just use our smartphones?
- Alarm clocks- Our phones come in handy for this, too. We sleep with our phones an arm’s length away, so we’ll hear the alarm in the AM.
Out with the old and in with the new.
