Usher, Julia Roberts, Others Fall For Insta-Hoax
Unless you’ve been absent from Instagram for the summer, you’ve probably seen the latest hoax. It’s a memo claiming that the company will have permission to make deleted photos and messages public and use those posts against them in court. Check out an example HERE.
While it’s clear that the memo – which has been circulated in some form or another since 2012 – isn’t real, everyone from the rich and famous to the poor and unknown has fallen for it. Usher,Judd Apatow,Julia Roberts, and US Secretary of EnergyRick Perry are just a few folks perpetuating the fraud.
For the record, Instagram’s policies grant it some basic uses of your photos and messages because it needs permission to display them to other users. As a clarification, the company’s terms of service include a bolded line that reads: “We do not claim ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to use it.” It also says you can end that license at any time “by deleting your content or account.”

Report: Lori Loughlin "Remorseful" For College Admissions Scandal
Lori Loughlin is doing her best to weather the storm caused by the college admissions scandal. To review, she and several other parents were charged with paying bribes to get their children into college.
According to a source, Lori and her husband,Mossimo Giannulli, really didn’t think what they were doing was wrong. “She honestly didn’t think what she was doing was any different than donating money for a library or athletic field,” the insider said. “That’s the crux of why she pleaded not guilty.” And while she believes that the allegations against her aren’t true, “She’s embarrassed and hurt, and she knows that her reputation has been ruined for life.”
Lori and Mossimo are due back in court on Tuesday. At that point, they’re expected to waive their rights to separate attorneys, as both are being represented by attorneys from the same law firm in order to put forth a “united front.” If convicted, they face 40 years in jail each.
