Taylor Swift may be gracing the Studio 8H stage as host and musical guest for the first time since 2009. According to an exclusive report from The Blast, Saturday Night Live creator and producer Lorne Michaels is gunning for the pop star on their upcoming 48th season.
"Billy Eichner would be a big get because he has a big movie coming out this fall and he is hilarious," the source told the outlet, "and they are going to ask Taylor Swift to host and be a musical guest if they haven't already and last but not least they want someone from the new Black Panther film to host as well."
The source concluded by saying, "Only schedules would mess up things, but anticipate to see these names on your TV when you watch SNL this season and it will be incredible!"
Swift's most recent appearance on the legendary live sketch comedy show was as the musical guest in November 2021. She gave a stunning performance of her song "All Too Well (10 minute version)." Prior to that, she served as a host and musical guest for her SNL debut back in 2009. Since then she's only been a musical guest in the years 2009, 2017, and 2019.
When Swift likely does host and/or perform on the show, her recently announced album Midnights will already be released. The singer surprised everyone when she decided to share the news during her acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 28th.
Midnights drops on October 21st.
