The zoo's name for April the giraffe's baby is oh so ironic
Animal Adventure Park announced the name of April the Giraffe's calf bu the meaning behind the name is not at all what the zoo thought. Zoo owner Jordan Patch went on Good Morning America on Monday to make the announcement, and explained the giraffes new name, Tajiri, means "hope" in Swahili. Except it doesn't...it actually means "rich" or "wealthy."
Tajiri wasn't one of the top ten picks for the calf's name but “Alyssa’s Choice” was. If that option won, the calf’s keeper, Alyssa, would get to name the calf so that is what she landed on.
The good news is proceeds from the contest will go toward the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, Animal Adventure Park and Ava's Little Heroes, a charity that assists families with medical costs.

Now that the nasty Unicorn Frap is out...inset in the mermaid Frap. It's made with vanilla bean, blended blackberries, and matcha powder. To order it, ask for a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with three scoops of blackberry inclusions (for a grande). Then, ask for a drizzle made with eight pumps of white mocha, three pumps of toasted coconut, and three scoops of matcha powder. Apparently barista's hate making the Mermaid frap as much as they do the unicorn one.
