Here's How Winter Storms Get Their Names



It used to be that only tropical storms and hurricanes got names, but The Weather Channel started naming winter storms back in 2013. Apparently  naming winter storms helps alert more people to winter weather warnings and enables them to better prepare. A Weather Channel spokesperson says that its easier to hashtag something like #Stella as opposed to 'Northeast Winter Storm of 2017'. Truth! Apparently since they started naming the storms there has been a 73% increase in link clicks.

New Lip Gloss Promises to Provide the Sensation of Kissing a Cat's Cold Nose

Japanese retailer Felissimo created the product that retails for around $11. They create the sensation with their steel roller ball applicator and by scenting the gloss with cat's milk. Yuk.  I'm not a cat so obviously this gloss isn't my thing. but I suppose if you are a cat person this is the cat's pajamas. See what I did there?

Mean Girls Is Now A Book

Now that I'm done with my 'Fifty Shades Freed' book I need something new to get into. The book was written by author Micol Ostow and the script is pretty much the same as the original. Except for in the book the story is told from the point of view of several different characters. Judging by some of the experts this book is gonna he good!

American Airlines Brings Back Free Food


American Airlines announced yesterday that they are bringing back the free sandwiches and cheese plates! They plan on offering free meals to everyone on certain cross country flights starting in May. They dropped the free food in 2001 after serious downturns but now want to bring it back to compete with other airlines offering free bags and cheaper flights.

Visa is testing NFC sunglasses that can pay for stuff

So if you're a person that constantly loses your shades you would be screwed. The prototype pairs with a prepaid card that's linked to the user's Visa account. The collaboration for these glasses was done with the help of Quicksilver Pro and Roxy Pro so they will be cute. Basically when you pay for something you simply tap the glasses on the payment terminal.
