We can all thank Bridgerton for being an inspiration for everyone on Tinder to start entering "courting" relationships!
The dating app recently released data that showed a huge rise in the mentions of the words "courting" and "flirting" in users' bios, which means people are just looking for casual flings that lead to a serious relationship.
"Courting" has been included in 81& more Tinder bios this year compared to last year. The funny thing is that Tinder thinks Bridgerton did play a large role in this because people actually learned what "courting" meant.
"Flirting" also saw a massive increase in 2021, with 132% more mentions in bios than last year as more people started looking just for people on dating apps for casual relationships.
Fingers crossed we bring back big dances like in Netflix to keep the "courting" trend going!
