There's nothing better than getting out of the heat on a hot summer day and watching your movie of choice, but it turns out if you live in the DMV you're most likely grabbing popcorn and an ice-cold Coca-Cola to enjoy the movie!
A new survey from Casino.org asked 2,000 moviegoers about their favorite concessions and it turns out, America’s favorite snacks and drinks at the movies are just about what you’d expect as in almost every state (including EVERY state in the DMV) popcorn and Coke took the top spots.
We totally agree with this as they both are kind of the base-layer towards and moviegoing experience, but Junior Mints Reese’s Pieces, Skittles, Twizzlers and soft pretzels also ranked high in the survey,
- Oddly enough, the survey also looked at the average amount of money people spend on concessions and here is what you can plan to spend on your next trip to the movies in each state of the DMV and our neighboring states:
DC: $15.33 - Maryland: $16.52
- Virginia: $18.07
- Pennsylvania: $16.61
- West Virginia: $12.40
Might want to stay in Maryland to see a movie with popcorn and a soda!
