Get ready to add Spirit Airlines back into your list of airlines you'll fly because the airline just added a program that will match your status on other airlines to give you perks on your next Spirit flight!

The low-cost airline normally charges extra for checked bags, seat selection, and even bringing a carry-on bag, but the airline has now partnered with StatusMatch.com to give travelers that hold status with 16 airline and 16 hotel loyalty programs access to its Free Spirit program.

The status match will be valid for one year and all you need to do is pay a small fee to become part of the airline's "Free Spirit Silver" or "Free Spirit Gold" that can give you perks like shorter boarding times, free seat selection, and even free carry-on and checked bags.

Matching is available for all major airlines in the United States, including Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest, and JetBlue, along with major hotel brands like Marriott, Accor, Hilton, and Hyatt.

If anything, it might make flying Spirit a more enjoyable time if you're willing to pay a small fee for the rest of the year!
