This Biotech Company Wants To Bring Back Extinct Animals Like The Dodo

We might be able to bring back extinct animals in the near-future according to this genetic engineering company!

Colossal Biosciences revealed earlier this week that it is attempting to resurrect the extinct dodo bird thank to $150 million in funding to support their "de-extinction" activities.

On top of the dodo bird, the genetic engineering company is also attempting to bring back the woolly mammoth and the thylacine (Tasmanian tiger) and reintroduce them back to their respective habitats.

Mammoths died out about 4,000 years ago, the dodo was gone by 1681 and the last known thylacine died in 1936 so these would be species nobody has actually seen in person in years.

However, something tells us this might be a Jurassic Park-scenario so we're going to be cautiously optimistic for this process!
