Turns out even the world of professional cornhole can deal with a cheating scandal after players from the top-ranked team in the US have been accused of using illegal bean bags at the 2022 American Cornhole League World Championships!

The finals happened in August, but the incident gained more notoriety after one player complained that his rival opponents were using bags that were smaller than regulation during the finals. Essentially, the smaller bags led the team to have an easier time scoring points.

Sports analysts are calling it "BagGate," and officials did confirm that the team-in-question was, in fact, not using regulation-sized bags, but the cherry on top was that the team that first made the complaint ALSO weren't using regulation bags.

You can read more about the scandal HERE, but something tells us that the American Cornhole League might have some rule changes in the off-season!
