Whenever someone calls you "hangry" it usually because you've looked around your place and haven't found anything to eat, but apparently it's an actual phenomenon according to science.

A new European study has for the first time ever actually linked hunger to a person’s emotional state and suggests that increased levels of hunger increase a person's irritability and drops their level of pleasure.

It's weird that it's taken science multiple years to catch up with the rest of us, but the study did find that people who were often hungry were also more irritable than those who had just eaten when problem-solving.

You can read more from the study HERE, but also know that calling someone "hangry" probably won't win you points in your favor with them too!
