It looks like Idris Elba won't be out of work anytime soon because on top of his stand-out performance as Bloodsport in The Suicide Squad, he has just been cast as Knuckles the Echidna in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog sequel!
The sequel is expected to release next year in April and will also feature the first appearance of Tails and the return of Ben Schwartz’s Sonic and Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik, but it's already shaping up to improve on the first film.
There's not that many details about the sequel, but Knuckles doesn't get introduced in the games until the third Sonic game so we at least know where the writing staff are pulling from.
