Cooking can be its own ordeal if you don't know what you're doing in the kitchen, but one food hack currently has the Internet in a heated debate because people aren't sure if you can cook potatoes in the nylon bag they come in or if you have to take them out.
It all started after TikTok user @ThreePointTurner shared her reaction to an episode of Guy's Grocery Games where one of the contestants drops an unopened bag of gold potatoes in boiling water to cook.
In the video, which you can see below, you hear her reaction to learning about putting potatoes in the pot and it turns out that it's a yes AND no question. You technically can boil an entire bag of potatoes in the bag, but it depends on if the bag is made with nylon rope or plastic.
Obviously, if your potatoes come in a plastic bag that it won't be safe to eat because of the plastic, but now you can save yourself some time if you ever need to cook for a TON of people or go on a cooking show.
