It looks like Sony is ready to expand their "Spider-Verse" even more because they just announced that Aaron-Taylor Johnson will play the iconic supervillain Kraven the Hunter in his own standalone film.
Taylor-Johnson might sound familiar because he previously played Quicksilver, aka Wanda's brother, in the MCU's Avengers: Age of Ultron and he most recently appeared in Tenet.
Kraven the Hunter is one of Spider-Man's oldest enemies and is a skilled hunter who targets the hero in the comics and animated series. This will make the character's first live-action appearance when the movie releases on January 13, 2023.
What do you think of the casting? Do you wish it was a new actor? This also might mean that the MCU is done with Quicksillver for the foreseeable future!
