New Study Claims Drinking Pink Drinks Can Make You Run Faster

If you're looking to increase your mile time then you might want to start drinking more pink-colored drinks because a new study claims they can make you run faster!

A new study published in Frontiers in Nutrition is claiming that people run slightly faster and longer on a treadmill when they first rinsed their mouths with an artificially sweetened pink-colored drink, compared to rinsing with the same beverage without color.

Apparently the reason why this happens is because of a placebo effect called "carb-rinsing" where we associate something has a better influence on our bodies based on its taste or color. It's kind of like how we always expect red cars to speed all the time and the same thing applies to our bodies.

The only difference between both drinks was the color and participants' speed improved by 4.4% when they drank the pink beverage! To learn more from the study you can go HERE!
