Remember the summer of 2016 when EVERYBODY was playing Pokémon Go?
The same company that gave us one of the greatest summers ever is hoping to replicate it by releasing a Pikmin-inspired version of the game later this year.
Pikmin celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and the brand is celebrating by partnering with Niantic, the studio behind Pokémon Go, to create a real-world augmented reality (AR) game that works pretty much like Pokémon Go.
Nintendo said in a news release that the future game will feature gameplay that “encourages walking," which we all need a little more of after the pandemic.
There's no release date as of right now, but you can sign up to test the Pikmin game HERE!
