It's weird to think that ANYONE else could have been Iron Man after the phenomenal job Robert Downey Jr. did in the role for the past 10 years, but apparently Tom Cruise almost got the job instead when they were casting!
Now I'm not saying that Tom Cruise is bad, because I think most of his movies are great, but Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark to a lot of people. However, our friends at Collider were able to give us a brief glimpse in a world were Tom Cruise was cast instead thanks to deepfake technology!
Also don't worry because "Deepfake Tom Cruise" does ALL of Iron Man's iconic lines!
