An Australian man attempted to pawn his ex-wife’s wedding dress through Facebook so he could spend the money on fishing gear and booze, according to local reports.
The post, accompanied with a photo of the dress, was shared by a user named ‘Scott’ in a public Facebook community, reported NT News.

“I was actually going to have a dress burning party when the divorce became final but than though (sic) some lucky bloke would be glad to only having to pay $200 instead of $2,000 for a dress,” the user posted in the group named “Darwin NT Buy, Sell, Swap & Wanted.”
The post states that his ex-wife “took the $6,000 engagement ring but left the dress,” reported NT News.
Scott said he would use the cash for “a new fishing rod and some beer,” according to the post.
The offer has since been deleted from the Facebook community, but garnered over 900 ‘likes’ in the group, according to reports.
