Just when you stopped questioning why Nintendo stopped production of the NES Classic, Nintendo out of nowhere announces that they are releasing an SNES Classic later this year!
SNES stands for Super Nintendo Entertainment System and while it first came out in the 1990s, the "mini" version of it will come out on September 29!
The classic system will include over 20 classic games from the system's heydays, including:
- Super Mario World
- Castlevania IV
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past
- Super Punch Out
- Street Fighter II: Turbo
- F-Zero
- Super Mario Kart
- Star Fox 2 *(Never Actually Released to the US)
The SNES Classic will cost roughly $80 (before you buy any new controllers) and be available everywhere with more supply on hand than the NES Classic. Europe will also be getting its exclusive multi-colored version, which you can have mailed over the pond!
You might want to start camping out at your local game store now because its was an ALL-OUT WAR looking for an NES Classic!
You vs. Everyone Else Looking for a SNES Classic.
