Earlier today, Elizabethany had the opportunity to interview Cat Janice, a local Alt. Pop Artist. Despite battling Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, Cat Janice has managed to share her story through her music. Cat's past songs have served as her way of relieving stress after her cancer diagnosis and spreading a positive message about normalizing anxiety and finding ways to overcome it.
In the past week, her health rapidly declined, and aware of her limited time, she was determined to release her new song, "Dance You Outta My Head," as soon as possible. She has been working on this song on and off for the past 6 months and wanted it to be her legacy, remembered by her friends, family, and listeners.
She is proud to leave behind a lasting inspiration, not only for future generations but also for her son, who contributed to writing this song. Cat believed in spreading joy and uplifting others, and this song perfectly captures that vibe.
Her last wish is for the D.C. community to pre-save her new song, 'Dance You Outta My Head', before it is released on her birthday this Friday, January 19. All proceeds from every presave and stream of the song will be dedicated to her 8-year-old son Loren's future, and help keep her legacy alive.
