I'm about to have a milestone birthday, and before it happens, I've been trying to accomplish things. One of those: Being totally okay with my body, and finding clothes to make it look good, instead of fitting in to what I wish I could wear.
That being said: high waisted jeans are a real life changer. They suck everything in and show the skinny part of my waist and I'm real into it.
So this weekend I tried out a trend: using a bra as a top, but making it a little more conservative with a jacket. I didn't think it was a big deal, tbh. I'm wearing jeans, not a whole lot of skin is showing. My brother, neighbor, and high school friend all called me every female slur, mostly because they were shocked I would wear something like this.
We ended up bar hopping to some pretty casual bars.. but I still thought it was appropriate for the setting.
