Arclight Cinemas And Pacific Theatres Won't Be Reopening

It's a sad day for the movie industry because both ArcLight Cinemas and Pacific Theaters have announced that they will be closing for good because of the pandemic.

As reported by Deadline, Arclight Cinemas and Pacific Theaters closed their doors over a year ago due to the pandemic, and "despite a huge effort that exhausted all potential options, the company does not have a viable way forward."

The chain was aiming to reopen its theaters around Memorial Day weekend with A Quiet Place Part II and Cruella, but it appears that won't be happening.

Arclight had a location in Bethesda at Westfield Montgomery Mall, but if you go to the theater's website you will only see a message by the theater chain saying it is permanently closed.

Another theater impacted by the closings is the infamous "Cinerama Dome," which was recently featured in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood.
