Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Has Been Delayed

Brace yourself for some sad news because Disney+ and Lucasfilm have announced that the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, called Kenobi, is being delayed thanks to script rewrites!

Our friends at Collider first broke the news that production on the show was shut down earlier this week and staff were told to go home as the producers of the series and the head of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy wanted to rewrite the script and turn the scheduled six episodes into four episodes.

The interesting thing is that Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor, was asked about the delays at the Birds of Prey premiere and said that it's only pushing production of the show back by six months and that the show will still come out in 2021.

Fingers crossed this means we're still going to get the series because it's been one of the most demanded pieces of content from Star Wars fans. At least Obi-Wan has the best GIF to sum up everyone's reaction to the delay.
