If the rumors are true, then according to Variety Hailee Steinfeld will be the newest hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as she will be cast as Kate Bishop in the upcoming Disney+ series based on Hawkeye!
We've already known that Jeremy Renner was reprising his role as Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, but this would be HUGE news if they cast someone as famous as Hailee Steinfeld in the other lead role so that she could potentially lead the future of the MCU!
In the comics Kate Bishop becomes Hawkeye's protégé, and eventually his successor, and ever since Avengers: Endgame rumors have been swirling as to who would play the iconic role. This would be Steinfeld's SECOND time to play a hero as she played Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse last year, but this would be her first live-action appearance.
Also if the rumors of having a Young Avengers movie at some point in the future are true, then having an actress like Steinfeld would start to help fill that team!
