The Game of Thrones Prequel Series Has Started Filming!

Even though Game of Thrones is airing its FINAL episode this week it won't be the last Game of Thrones we get because the prequel series has just started filming in Ireland!

The untitled prequel series will be set during the first Long Night, about 1000 years before the events of the main show, when the White Walkers first swept down upon Westeros.

The working title for the series is Bloodmoon and has actually started filming in Northern Ireland, which is where any scenes for the Starks or the Vale of Arryn took place.

Here's the official description of the prequel series:

Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of Legend—it’s not the story we think we know.

Hopefully fans will be excited for the new show because at least it will be a new group of characters that will have time for character growth! Fingers crossed it's good!
