It looks like Smith won't be reprising his role of Deadshot in Suicide Squad 2 as the actor has confirmed that he would have scheduling conflicts with the film and would not be able to return.
While we already knew that James Gunn, from Guardians of the Galaxy, was set to direct the sequel, this news confirms that the film will kind of be a "soft reboot," which has been rumored for the past few months.
The "soft reboot" was set to still feature Will Smith's Deadshot and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, but now we're not even sure if that is going to happen.
It sucks too because Will Smith was one of our favorite parts of the first Suicide Squad!
The sequel is set to start production this fall, but what villain/anti-hero would you want to fill in Deadshot's role on the squad? Fingers crossed on Reverse-Flash!!
