Ruby Rose's Batwoman Getting a Pilot on The CW

Looks like Ruby Rose made a good impression during 2018's Arrowverse crossover because The CW has ordered a pilot episode for Batwoman!

We last saw Ruby Rose don the cowl in all three of the Elseworlds episodes on The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl, but this is the first step into the character getting her own series. This would also be the first "Batman-based" show on The CW.

On top of getting a pilot it looks like Game of Thrones director David Nutter will direct the pilot who you might be familiar with directing the "Red Wedding" episode of the hit HBO show.

Even more interesting thing about David Nutter directing the pilot is that this will be his THIRD pilot episode in the Arrowverse as he directed Arrow and The Flash's pilots when they first premiered.

There is no official premiere date, but we can assume in the Fall, but here is the pilot description to hold you over until then:

“Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (star Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
