Jon Favreau’s Star Wars Show is Called "The Mandalorian" (UPDATED)

UPDATE:

We just got the first image from Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars series thanks to his Instagram and the image looks so dope!

The show will most likely travel to the Mandalorian home planet of Mandalore, but the following photo looks like it takes place on Tatooine. You be the judge.

However, that's not all because Star Wars: The Clone Wars creator Dave Filoni will be helping direct the first few episodes of the series and Taika Waititi is rumored to also direct a few episodes!

You can see Favreau and Filoni at Skywalker Ranch below!

Disney's streaming service is still on the way, but we just found out what one of the exclusive shows on the service will be called. Jon Favreau has revealed that his live-action Star Wars TV show will be called The Mandalorian.

Favreau posted to Instagram with the first details of the show, which you can see below, and apparently the show will take place after Return of the Jedi and before The Force Awakens.

The show will focus on a Mandalorian warrior, much like Jango and Boba Fett, in the Outer Rim systems of the Star Wars galaxy.

The cool thing is that this will be Favreau's second experience with Mandalorians as he played the character Pre Vizla on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Production for the series has already begun and we can expect an at least visually spectacular show as the series is reportedly costing $100 million just for the first ten episodes.

What do you think? Are you excited to get more Mandalorians in your life? Do you wish Jon Favreau would direct another Marvel movie? Let us know on Twitter: @infinite_Pods!!
