Get ready to ditch your Xbox, PlayStation, and expensive-as-hell gaming PC because Google is working on a new service that will allow you to play big-budget games in Google Chrome.
Called "Project Stream," Google officially announced that the first test of the streaming game service will begin on October 5th with the release of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
You can sign up to be in the test, which will run through January as long as you are at least 17; however, you'll need to make sure you have the following:
- A Google account
- An Ubisoft account
- A computer with the most recent version of Google Chrome installed
- A reliable internet connection (25 Mbps is recommended)
- A wired USB controller or external mouse to play the game
You can check out a video of the game being played in 1080p at 60 fps on the service below.
