The First "Dark Phoenix" Trailer is FINALLY HERE!!

It feels like it has been FOREVER since we first learned about 20th Century Fox's Dark Phoenix movie because of re-shoots that were delayed because of Game of Thrones, but we now FINALLY have a trailer for the film!!

In the trailer, which you can check out below, all of your favorite X-Men are back, including Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and the movie will be heavily based on the Dark Phoenix saga in the X-Men comics.

Just prepare yourself because this will probably be the LAST X-Men film that isn't a part of the MCU.

Here's the official synopsis for the film, which was released with the trailer and theatrical poster:

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

Simon Kinberg, who was involved in the screenplay of X-Men: The Last Stand, will direct the film so that might lower your expecatations for the film.

However, we at least get an X-Men story set in the '90s and they're going to space, which is the closest we'll get to the animated series!

Dark Phoenix will finally be in theaters on February 14, 2019 and you can check out the Internet's reactions to the trailer below.
