For the past week practically everyone who has been playing Pokémon Go has been seeing a weird grey blog with a nut for a head and it turns out that it is the newest Pokémon to come to the series!
Called Meltan, the new Pokémon could be caught by anybody still playing the mobile game, but would mysteriously transform into the Pokémon Ditto when captured.
The Pokémon Company later confirmed that the Ditto-like monster is a brand-new species of Pokémon in a new trailer cross-promoting Pokémon Go and the upcoming Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee.

According to the official Pokémon website Meltan is classified as the "Hex Nut Pokémon" and is a pure Steel-type with a fluid, amorphous body made of liquid metal.
