If you haven't already left The Walking Dead bandwagon then you might be soon because it's been announced that Andrew Lincoln, who plays the main character, Rick Grimes, is leaving the show after the next season!
According to Collider, Lincoln will only appear in six episodes in Season 9, which will premiere sometime around the beginning of August. Apparently, Lincoln asked for his exit due to having to travel from London to Atlanta, where they film the show, so much for the past eight years and wanted to be closer to family.
Don't worry about Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show, because his character might be taking the lead role after signing a new $20 million deal!!
Rick Grimes won't be the only character to the leave the show as Lauren Cohan's Maggie will also be making her exit most likely during the mid-season finale of Season 9 as she is only signed for the first six episode of the show.
Danai Gurira, who Walking Dead fans will know as Michonne, may also be making her exit as her contract ends in Season 9. Plus, most people would probably rather see her as Okoye in Black Panther again anyway!
