Filming has just begun for Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, but today we just found out more of the casting news for the film, including that Clark Gregg will be reprising his role of PHIL COULSON in the film!
Now you may be wondering how this is happening since he technically died in the first Avengers film, if you're not counting Marvel's Agents of Shield on ABC, well it is because Captain Marvel will be set in the '90s!!
It was also announced that Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou will be reprising their roles of Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer from the first Guardians of the Galaxy respectively as well! This is because the film will take place in outer space during the Kree/Skrull War which was briefly mentioned at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy!
Production has begun on Marvel Studios' #CaptainMarvel. @BrieLarson receives instructions from Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, 57th Wing Commander, on a recent visit to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to research her character. pic.twitter.com/i5brzZH852— Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) March 26, 2018
