Florentino Gregorio, President and CEO, Anchor Construction Corporation

Florentino Gregorio is the President and Founder of Anchor Construction Corporation. Mr. Gregorio incorporated C & F Construction Company in 1985, which later became Anchor Construction Inc. Anchor has offices in Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland with 360 employees. Anchor has completed more than 300 contracts for both public and private owners with billings exceeding $100 million.

In December of 1986, Mr. Gregorio received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park. He has over 30 years of management experience in infrastructure construction, and is the driving force behind Anchor Construction’s history of excellence.

Since 2006, Florentino has been very active in the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), serving on the Board of Directors from 2008-2009, as Board Secretary in 2010-2011, Treasurer in 2011-2012, and as Vice President and Chairman from 2012-2013. Throughout his years with NUCA, he worked tirelessly to build a DC Chapter from the ground up. The DC Chapter of NUCA received its charter in 2012, in part because of Mr. Gregorio’s values of working together, his generous spirit, and his personal style of team building. He is currently serving as the association’s first President.

Mr. Gregorio is also heavily involved with giving back to the community. Some of the charity events he supports are the ABC Food Drive, Tanks Food Drive, CAUSE USA (helps wounded Veterans Recuperate from their injuries), Turning The Page (provides various books for youth and adolescents), Capital Area Food Bank, a Wider Circle, etc.

Mr. Gregorio is an active member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade; the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; the Washington Association of Builders and Contractors, as well as several Baltimore civic and cultural organizations.
