Michael DiMattina, M.D.
Dr. Michael DiMattina founded Dominion Fertility in 1987 and serves as the center’s Medical Director.
Dr. DiMattina graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. In Chemistry from American University in Washington, DC. He then performed cancer research at the National Institute of Health before attending medical school at The Medical College of Virginia. Dr. DiMattina completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital, followed by his Fellowship at Georgetown and NIH. While a Fellow, he studied advanced techniques in IVF at Kings College Hospital in London, England. He is board certified in Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. DiMattina has consistently been listed by his peers as “The Top Infertility Doctor in the Washington, DC area” in Washingtonian Magazine. He is co-author of the book 100 Questions and Answers About Infertility. He has also received many awards for teaching Reproductive Medicine to medical students, interns and residents at local universities. In addition, he lectures worldwide on topics of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
John David Gordon, M.D.
Dr. John David Gordon has been the Co-Director of Dominion Fertility since joining the practice in 1999.
Dr. Gordon graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. In Biology. He then attended medical school at Duke University. Dr. Gordon completed his internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Houston, his residency at Stanford University and his Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University of California, San Francisco. He is board certified in Ob/Gyn and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Gordon has consistently been listed as one of "Washington’s Top Doctors" by Washingtonian Magazine. Along with Dr. DiMattina, Dr. Gordon is the co-author of the book 100 Questions and Answers About Infertility. Dr. Gordon is the editor of two best selling medical handbooks: Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Gordon has received numerous honors for his educational activities while teaching Reproductive Medicine to medical students, interns and residents in Ob/Gyn at local hospitals and universities.
