Shawn Springs, Founder & CEO of Windpact

Shawn Springs is the Founder and CEO of Windpact (www.windpact.com), a Virginia-based impact protection company developing safety technology to be used in sports, military and recreation equipment. Additionally, Shawn works as a local television commentator/anchor for NBC/Comcast Mid-Atlantic, discussing all things related to the NFL and the Washington Redskins.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Shawn spent 14 seasons playing football in the NFL. Drafted third overall in the 1st round of the 1997 draft, he spent 7 years with the Seattle Seahawks, 5 years with the Washington Redskins and a final season with the New England Patriots.

Shawn is a graduate of The Ohio State University and completed a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. At OSU, as a member of the football team, he was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten Athlete and was named the Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 1996, despite having no interceptions.

Born in Williamsburg, VA, Shawn went to high school in Cleveland, OH at Orange High School and Silver Spring, MD at Springbrook High School. He currently resides in Northern Virginia.
